Our Scope
V2Ray Desktop is an independent guide site with download links for the v2rayN desktop client and the v2rayNG and v2flyNG Android clients. It also covers subscription imports, proxy modes, and configuration fields. We do not develop these clients and do not provide servers, subscriptions, or connection credentials. Our guides are for reference; the interface and features may vary by version.
Project V and the Core Ecosystem
V2Ray originated in the open-source Project V proxy ecosystem. V2Fly continues community maintenance of V2Ray, while Xray is a separate core project forked from V2Ray. The two differ in feature development and supported configuration fields. GUI clients manage servers and launch cores; a client’s name is not necessarily the name of its core. Before using the JSON manual, check which core is running and its version.
Editorial Standards
Download links are based on project release information, with sources, platforms, and processor architectures checked. A verified source does not mean system permission prompts should be ignored. Tutorials are tested in graphical interfaces and distinguish steps from configuration examples and their prerequisites. When interfaces or fields change, we update the relevant guidance rather than assuming one test result applies to every setup.
